Meet Our Team!

Zoe Hickman

Zoe has dedicated her life to riding and training horses in various disciplines, including Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and Cutting. With over $300,000 in lifetime NCHA earnings and three All American Quarter Horse Congress Championships, she specializes in cutting horses. Zoe enjoys working with amateurs and children, making complex concepts easy to understand. Whether you want to compete seriously or just enjoy riding, Zoe can help you get started. She hauls to and coaches at numerous shows annually and welcomes riders of all experience levels, offering options to own, lease, or borrow a horse. Zoe can also be found with her son Waylon, most likely leading him around on his pony, Chicken Nugget.

Ashley Copley

Ashley Copley (the purple hair one) has been immersed in the world of horses since she was 8 years old. With over two decades of experience, Ashley joined Zoe Woodland Performance Horses four years ago and quickly became known for her unique approach to teaching. She has a passion for working with youth, helping them to grow and discover their potential while encouraging them to think outside the traditional norms—a philosophy reflected in her distinctive "hippie cowgirl" style. In the past year, Ashley has developed a keen interest in the ranch horse aspect of the industry and has made remarkable progress with client horses. Additionally, she has a love for jumping and dreams of one day pursuing cross-country riding. When she's not working with horses, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband on their idyllic property, surrounded by their menagerie of animals.

Sarah Bartoe

Sarah has been passionate about horses from a young age, having started riding and showing when she was just 6 years old. With over two decades of experience, Sarah joined Zoe Woodland Performance Horses four years ago, where she has continued to develop her skills and share her love of horses with others. When she's not at the barn, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and their beloved fur babies—three dogs named Boomer, Cricket, and Hooch, along with her 4-year-old Quarter Horse gelding, One Fabulous Smoke. Sarah’s dedication to her craft and her animals is evident in every aspect of her life, making her a trusted and skilled horse trainer.

Hannah Keusal aka Snow White

Hannah is a dedicated horse enthusiast whose journey began with a weekly lesson and has evolved into a deep passion. Each morning, she eagerly takes on the responsibility of caring for the horses and buffalo on the farm, alongside a fantastic team. Witnessing the joy in others' eyes as they discover the world of horses and nurturing their love for the sport brings her immense excitement. Initially captivated by jumping, Hannah explored rodeo for a while before venturing into the cutting world. She cherishes every experience and is profoundly grateful for the opportunities she has had along the way.

Jess West

Jesseca has been working at ZWPH for 4 years. She is a mom of 2 little girls who both love rodeo. She passed on her love of animals and the outdoors to her children, and her youngest daughter, Hudson, quickly developed a passion for horses and has been riding with ZWPH for 4 years now. Her oldest daughter, Rhyder, is not as interested in horses as her younger sister, but she still enjoys spending time in the barn, feeding treats to the horses, or playing with the barn kitty. Rhyder prefers bull riding but will hop on and ride bareback for her balance practice. Jesseca and her family spend most of their weekends relaxing and competing at rodeos and horse shows. She feels grateful to have a job that allows her to spend time with her family and pursue her passion.

Jesseca grew up on a farm, showing cattle her entire life, and while she may only ride for fun, she knows her way around the barn. Jesseca boards her horse at ZWPH. She is great at making sure all the horses are cared for in the barns and is always ready to jump in and help when and where needed, and has no problem doing the dirty jobs.

Haylee Lepowsky

For Haylee, horses haven’t just been a part of her life, they’ve been the very foundation of it. Born into a family always involved with horses, she was already breaking and training young horses as a teenager, developing a deep-rooted passion for the "start." Haylee finds her greatest joy in the quiet, foundational work of improving young horses, patiently preparing them to excel in any discipline they might choose.

At just 17 years old, Haylee’s drive took her all the way to Texas, where she immersed herself in the cutting horse industry. By working under some very accomplished cutting horse trainers, she sharpened her feel for performance and learned the true meaning of a "finished" horse.

When she isn’t at ZWPH, Haylee’s life is still full of animals and ambition. You can usually find her at her own farm tending to her horses and her three beloved Border Collies. A true creative at heart, she is also busy building her own photography business and lending a hand with her boyfriend’s business. Whether she is behind a camera or in a saddle, Haylee’s life is a testament to the hard work and heart that defines the Western way of life.
